1950's
Limited Edition portrait of Elizabeth Taylor captured by legendary photographer Mark Shaw for the October 15, 1956 cover of LIFE magazine. This story ran concurrent with the release of the film "Giant", which went on to garner several academy awards. Ms. Taylor appeared in the film as Leslie Benedict, the matriarch of a Texas ranching family. The film also starred Rock Hudson and James Dean. Elizabeth Taylor is number seven on the American Film Institute’s list of top 25 female legends.
We exclusively represent this collection of photography on behalf of Mark Shaw's estate. The work comes directly from Shaw's personal archives. There is a limited edition of 30 in each size. Listed below is the SMALL size edition, but there are 3 additional sized editions:
