||Jackie and Caroline and JFK in Georgetown 1959 #1 by Mark Shaw
In the late 1950's and early 1960's Mark Shaw worked extensively as the "unoffical" family photographer to Jackie and John F. Kennedy. The results of these stunning shoots graced the covers of innumerable magazines and were the subject of two lauded books. Captured here by Shaw in in 1959 is a portrait of Jackie, Caroline and John F. Kennedy taken in Georgetown in the weeks leading up to JFK's successful presidential bid. These images were created for a photo essay for LIFE magazine and led to Mark's close relationship with both JFK and Jackie. These are editioned prints which we are selling in connection with our relationship with Mark Shaw's heirs at The Mark Shaw Archives.
There are also two larger editioned sizes available. Please call us in Los Angeles (323) 934-4452 for details.
